Who’s Afraid of King Friday the Thirteenth?

Christ the King Sunday, November 25, 2018, First Trinity Lutheran Church – Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood was one of my favorite shows when I was growing up. This children’s television show aired on public television from 1968 to 2001 and was viewed by millions of children, probably some of you in this room remember him. Many have credited Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood as being one of the most influential television shows because it reached generations of children and taught them about the world around them. One of my favorite characters was King Friday the Thirteenth. He ruled over the Neighborhood of Make-Believe from his blue castle where he lived with his wife, Queen Sara Saturday and their son, Prince Tuesday.
