Who is a “young adult”?

We define this loosely – participants might be in their 20’s, 30’s, or early 40’s. Some of us have children and some of us don’t. Singles, marrieds, and those in committed relationships are all welcome. You'll find young adults on the church council, welcoming visitors, singing and playing instruments, serving on committees, and actively contributing to the church and community.

Go deeper in your faith journey through fellowship with the First Trinity Young Adults:

Third Thursdays: Join us every Third Thursday of the month for dinner & discussion at the home of a young adult member. Discussion topics have included: who is my neighbor?; Lutheran social witness and advocacy; faith in action; and more.

Theology & Brews: Join us the final Tuesday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm for conversations about faith and life over beer or coffee at The Velo Cafe (730b Maine Ave SW).

Monthly social events, including brunch, scavenger hunts, musical outings, happy hours, and service activities.

Serve

The Young Adults are an important part of service projects such as trips to West Virginia in October 2007, rebuilding flood-damaged homes. In 2008 and 2011 many of First Trinity’s Young Adults took part in a Habitat for Humanity service trip to El Salvador. Locally, young adults serve breakfast to the homeless, resurface playgrounds, support Lifeline Partnership and Community Family Life Services and more!
